As of January 20, 2017, Trump is serving as 45th President of the United States of America, and is affiliated with the Republican Party. Trump’s net worth is estimated by Forbes to be $3.1 billion. He has co-authored several books including The Art of the Deal (Random House, 1987), and owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants, 1996–2015. He also produced and hosted the reality television show The Apprentice (FremantleMedia/MGM Worldwide Television), 2003–2015.

The “This stuff is gold!” remark, combined with the framing of Trump’s head in the prog promo, may be an aside to his distinctive hair, often mistaken for a wig and the subject of speculation for decades. A viral screengrab of Trump’s mother, Mary Anne MacLeod Trump (1912– 2000), from the documentary Who Is Donald Trump? (Foxtel, 2016), which included an interview with her in 1997, however, suggests that the presidential pompadour runs in the family.
