Eastwood has played Detective Inspector Harold “Dirty Harry” Callahan of the San Francisco Police Department five times, in: Dirty Harry (1971), Magnum Force (1973), The Enforcer (1976), Sudden Impact (1983) and The Dead Pool (1988).
Doug Church, 2000 AD’s former art editor, has asserted that Dirty Harry was the inspiration for Judge Dredd [we’re just making it official].
